The problem is that when a real-server tries to connect the the VIP, if you use LVS-NAT, then it probably will not be able to make a connection, and if you use LVS-DR, then it will always connect to itself. This does not effect hosts that are not real-servers. LVS-NAT is used in the "Load Balancing" topologies listed under Standard.
