ultra monkey and LAMP clustering

Hello, from what i have learned, i see that apache/php clustering is not a problem. 

a.) what about mysql databases. how do we keep the data synchronised between all the mysql servers?
b.) if some php scripts have to be updated, must we manually update all  the apache servers?
