With current systemd and Linux kernel I'm seeing a problem with loading the iwlwifi firmware at boot time: [ 14.236171] iwlwifi: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link AGN driver for Linux, in-tree: [ 14.236174] iwlwifi: Copyright(c) 2003-2012 Intel Corporation [ 14.236349] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: pci_resource_len = 0x00002000 [ 14.236352] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: pci_resource_base = ffffc90000078000 [ 14.236354] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: HW Revision ID = 0x34 [ 14.236750] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: irq 49 for MSI/MSI-X [ 14.478203] firmware 0000:03:00.0: firmware_loading_store: unexpected value (0) [ 14.716820] firmware 0000:03:00.0: firmware_loading_store: unexpected value (0) [ 14.717063] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: request for firmware file 'iwlwifi-6000g2a-5.ucode' failed. [ 14.717117] iwlwifi 0000:03:00.0: no suitable firmware found! This is on a ThinkPad T420s. After booting is finished I can modprobe -r iwlwifi and reload the module, then the firmware loads OK (version 18.168.6.1, iwlwifi-6000g2a-6.ucode). But it would nice to have it "just work". Any suggestions?
