Hello,

I want to set IPv6 global address which composed of prefix of Router
Advertisement and fixed interface ID (not EUI-64 from MAC address).

My router announce RA. So automatically Linux box assign IPv6 address
from RA prefix and MAC address.

But, bacause this Linux box is server, I would not like to change IPv6
address in the future. (eg. change server hardware or NIC)

I know one way: disable autoconf and manually set IPv6 address. Are
there any other good idea?

I hear that in KAME, when manually set link local address, global
address is automatically composed with prefix of RA and interface ID
part of link local address.

Cheers,
