Hi,

I have a small test system with HA, AR and MN. The routing between
nodes without mip software works ok, also if MN is in home I can ping
all the nodes. In foreign network, the tunnel between MN and HA does
not work. The tunnel in MN is created ok (at least no error is shown
in logs in MN and HA) but when something is sent to the tunnel, syslog
in MN says "ip6tnl1 xmit: Local address not yet configured!"

In MN the tunnel looks like this (2001:db8:c0a8:c8::1 is the HA
address, 2001:db8:a01:0:204:23ff:fe97:261a is CoA and
2001:db8:c0a8:c8:204:23ff:fe97:261a is HoA)

$ ip -6 link show ip6tnl1
10: ip6tnl1@eth0: <POINTOPOINT,NOARP,UP,10000> mtu 1460 qdisc noqueue
    link/tunnel6 20:01:0d:b8:0a:01:00:00:02:04:23:ff:fe:97:26:1a peer
20:01:0d:b8:c0:a8:00:c8:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:01

$ ifconfig ip6tnl1
ip6tnl1   Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr
20-01-0D-B8-0A-01-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
          inet6 addr: 2001:db8:c0a8:c8:204:23ff:fe97:261a/128 Scope:Global
          inet6 addr: fe80::204:23ff:fe97:261a/64 Scope:Link
          UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1460 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b)  TX bytes:720 (720.0 b)

In HA the system looks like this:

6: ip6tnl1@NONE: <POINTOPOINT,NOARP,UP,10000> mtu 1460 qdisc noqueue
    link/tunnel6 20:01:0d:b8:c0:a8:00:c8:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:01 peer
20:01:0d:b8:0a:01:00:00:02:04:23:ff:fe:97:26:1a

ip6tnl1   Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr

          UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1460 Metric:1

What looks suspicious is the tunnel end point setting is missing in HA
ifconfig output.

Network looks like this

             +--------+ 2001:db8:c0a8:64::1
             |   HA   |---------------------+

Any idea what is wrong with the tunneling?

The mipd used in MN and HA is the latest version (pulled 14 Feb) from
git://git.linux-ipv6.org/gitroot/nakam/mipv6-daemon.git and the kernel
is 2.6.20-rc7 from
git://git.linux-ipv6.org/gitroot/nakam/linux-2.6-mip6.git
