First of all, as I'm new to the list, please let me thank you for this
very helpful piece of software.

I experience a slightly different problem with a USB X-tensions USB
dongle: in the original post, the ISDN side could hear the SIP side, in
my case it's the other way round. The SIP phone can reliably hear the
ISDN. Occasionally, the ISDN side cannot hear the SIP side. And in
addition, there are random length drop-outs in hearing the SIP side.

I have the following config:

- mISDN, mISDNuser, LCR from two days ago (including changeset 20fbaa
  'Fix oneway audio with LCR')

- ubuntu lucid with kernel 2.6.32-41-generic

- asterisk 1.8.11.1 on ubuntu

- removed old mISDN from installed kernel in /lib/modules,

- X-Tensions USB HFC card


To elaborate a bit on the attribute 'occasionally' from above:

- the very first call to an MSN shows the 'one-way audio' behaviour

- the second and subsequent calls do not show that behaviour, unless the
  SIP phone hangs up. In that case, the next call has 'one-way audio'.

WIMPy on #asterisk was so kind to help me with testing. He found that
his HFC-8s card worked correctly, while a USB dongle showed the same
behaviour as my symptoms. He also had drop-outs with LCR's MOH.

Trying to debug, I find this in the syslog:

'HFC-S_USB.1: ERROR stop_iso_gracefull for fifo 0.0'
'HFC-S_USB.1: ERROR stop_iso_gracefull for fifo 0.1'

but when I increase the debugging level, strange things happen and the
machine reboots (without a trace of a kernel panic in the logs).

WIMPy also kindly found out that using kernel 3.1.7 with its stock mISDN
drivers (without installing the current git version), resolves the
problem. I tried with kernel 3.1.10 and the mISDN drivers which come
with the kernel (plus the patch in hfcsusb.h for the X-Tension card's
idVendor and idProduct) and seem to have a working LCR/misdn/asterisk
combo, so far.

I would be happy if you could look into this issue. I can help with
testing, if you could give me some pointers as what debug options to use
or e.g. whether strace would be of any help.
