Well, I didn't investigate enough. The file that provides the libgpgme++.so.0 was gpgme.i86 updated that to the latest in rawhide, and now the problem is solved - also explains why Jesse Keating's, among others, posts were crashing my Kontact - the file has something to do with checking the encrypted sig, so whenever I got to a message that was signed with a key, Kontact crashed - Jesse has one of those -- Claude Jones Levit & James, Inc.
