Sadly this does not mean much to me, I'll try and shutdown Khotkeys and test 
here.. 

Out of interest could you test with a fresh .kde DIR? log out.
in your HOME directory mv .kde .kdeold and log back in. To be honest I am not 
sure at what level the services are started.
