According to http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.2_Release_Schedule on 
techbase, beta2 will be tagged tomorrow. Is is worth waiting another week to 
get beta2 rather than 4.1.80 (beta1)? As far as I can tell, there are 
currently no feature/bug-fix backports on kdelibs & kdebase in Fedora CVS; so 
beta2 should(!) be a straightforward recompile ;-)
