Compile Help

To Whom this May Concern:

I know this is a announce mailing list but I couldn't find one for general
help. I am trying to install keepalived on a virtual machine (created by way
of UML) and everything has gone great with one key problem. When I try and
compile keepalived I get a compile error that the size of edata is unkown
and ETHOOL_GLINK is undefined. The problem lies in
./keepalived/vrrp/vrrp_if.c in the if_ethtool_status function (around line
188). I took care of the ETHTOOL_GLINK problem by just doing a #DEFINE
ETHTOOL_GLINK 0x0000000a but the edata problem has me stumped. I tried to
just comment out the whole block of code and always return 1, seems to work
and I haven't noticed any problems but I fear I am asking for trouble by
doing that. Thank you for any help anyone could provide.
