Hi, I'm using keepalived vrrp on my project. I compiled keepalived with --vrrp option and kernel supports vmac feature. When I run keepalived binary, it creates a virtual interface and assigns ip and vmac addresses(when state MASTER) as I configured. But when I kill(killall <processname>) keepalived process, sometimes it cannot remove virtual interfaces, and if I start keepalived in this stiuation, it adds virtual ip to real eth device as a second ip address. As I saw in detail logs, vrrp receives SIGTERM signal but sometimes not remove virtual interface. Is this a normal behaviour of vrrp? If not, will a patch or new version of keepealived be release?
