yes, that works fine.

I run 2 independent addresses on 2 machines.
each of them can act as master/backup for each vrrp address.

But: I just would not *100% confirm* now, that they run *really* independent.
Normal setup: both addresses are master on one host and backup on the other.
If one host fail both addresses switch to the backuphost.

give me a ping next week for detailed setup if you're still interested.
