Hey all,

I've got it almost working.

I found out that binding IP addresses to a dummy interface can have some
funny side effects. This was easily solved by recompile HAProxy to use
IP_FREEBIND.

But now I've got something new. When the second keepalived instance
comes up traffic stops flowing for 1-30 seconds. When I disable IPv6 the
problem goes away.

I think it has something to do with the link-local address but I'm not
sure. Anyone got an idea?

The following settings were added but didn't help:

net.ipv6.conf.all.accept_ra = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.accept_ra = 0
net.ipv6.conf.all.autoconf = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.autoconf = 0
net.ipv6.conf.all.dad_transmits = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.dad_transmits = 0
net.ipv6.conf.all.accept_dad = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.accept_dad = 0
net.ipv6.conf.all.dad_transmits = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.dad_transmits = 0
net.ipv6.conf.all.router_solicitations = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.router_solicitations = 0

Greets,

Sander

Subversion Kills Productivity. Get off Subversion & Make the Move to Perforce.
With Perforce, you get hassle-free workflows. Merge that actually works.
Faster operations. Version large binaries. Built-in WAN optimization and the
freedom to use Git, Perforce or both. Make the move to Perforce.
