Hi guys, I am new to the list and hope this is the right place to post
this.

Currently I have keepalived configured on 2 boxes and with smtp alerts when
a failover occurs. This boxes have 4 interfaces in 4 diferent vlans.

The way it is currently configured, if a vlan goes down the failover will
occur and a flood of SMTP alerts would be sent to my inbox. By flood I mean
thousands of emails..... The only way to make the spam stop is to stop
keepalived on one of the boxes.

What can I do so that only 1 email gets sent went the vlan is down (backup
becomes master) and another one when the vlan is up again (master regains
control) ? Am I the only one with this problem?

Note: the smtp server used for sending is not under my control.

Thanks for the help!!!
