I have a vague feeling that I'll find one or the other thing to change in keepalived in the coming weeks anyway, now that I'm running the most current version. There's a race when restarting keepalived WRT deleting and recreating the VMAC macvlan interfaces, which I worked around by sleeping a bit in my systemd startup script. And, when changing the name of the VMAC interface and reloading keepalived, the old interface is not removed.
