We have been running several keepalived instancens (both only VRRP, as well as together with IPVS) on CentOS 6 and 7 without issues. And I am positively sure that I am not the only one using keepalived on CentOS 7 succesfully. ;-) Reading your message I get the impression that the virtual IP address may be directly routed to the sorry server. Perhaps you have not taken the ARP problem (when using LVS-DR) into consideration when setting up the virtual IP address on your servers?
