Hi, I’m testing an HA solution with keepalived and in the scenario where a master dies (killed -9) the virtual ip is left on the interface as the service can’t take it down properly. The promoted server binds the virtual ip and sends the gratiutus arp to get the traffic. If the killed process comes back, and gets the BACKUP state, then the virtual ip still gets binded to the interface and now is in both, the master and the bakckup instance. I know I can script this with notify_backup to check and remove de virtual ip from the backup server, but shouldn’t this be done by keepalived?
