The good news, however, is that keepalived now (v2.0.x) detects its addresses (and ip routes and rules) being deleted, and takes action to reinstate them. If keepalived's addresses are removed, the relevant vrrp instance(s) will transition to backup state. When the instance becomes master again, the addresses will be re-added. I suggest that you use the latest code from the master branch since one or two issues have been resolved since v2.0.0 (and indeed since v2.0.4) were released.
