For TET/TVS, as far as I know, few test suites need them to compile, while about half of the test suites need TET/TVS to run. Each test suite using TET/TVS to run has a file named “tvs_list” in its source directory, and you can use it to do a quick search.  About 2 test suites use python(linux-ha, evlog) and seems no test suite uses perl.  So, without TVS/TET/Perl/Python, about half of the test suites can run directly.  

 

But without rpm installation support, I’m afraid few test suites can run directly and you may need add each test suite a script to do what the current rpm installation does.

 

BTW, the mailing list [email protected] is dedicated for discussions about the test suites you might also want to use that one next time. :-)

Hi,

             I am in a Carrier Grade Linux. I want to compile and execute CGL20validation test suite on the Langley target. I don't have TVS, TETware, Perl and python in my target. Could you please help me to get details about my following queries?

 

1. Without TVS, TETware, rpm installation support, Perl and Python: can we compile and execute CGL20Validation test suite?

2. If possible, how much effort is necessary to modify the available shell scripts. 

3. Without using above utilities, how many test cases can be run?
