 The patches must be applied to the kernel source tree for 2.6.18-rc7 as
retreived from kernel.org, not 2.6.18-274.18.1.el5.

 You are patching the redhat enterprise linux sources which have
conflicting patches.  You must perform the deconfliction yourself.  It's
not that hard.
