Hi,

this kind of problem is often related to the Linux kernel so you could
try with a newer Linux kernel, which you could get from:

http://www.kernel.org

Before you try with another Linux kernel, you could also try with
different versions of the Windows XP driver, if you can locate them on
the web site of the vendor of your wireless device, to see if there is a
difference.
