Problems installing USR5420 on Ubuntu using DriverLoader

Hi there,

I can install the driverloader system fine on its own and upload the 
necessary drivers for my device. However it constantly claims that it 
can't detect my adapter when it is plugged in. /var/log/messages shows 
it being connected and disconnected when I unplug/plug it in, so the 
kernel knows it's there. Any idea what could be wrong, since this device 
has been "successfully tested".
