Hi, we do not provide pre-compiled packages for x86_64 kernels so you installed the wrong package for your kernel. Please uninstall the installed DriverLoader package with the 'dldrconfig --uninstall' command in a root shell and please install the generic package in the RPM format that supports x86_64 kernels. It can be downloaded at: http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/wlan/full/downloads.php Regards, Jonathan Technical specialist / Linuxant www.linuxant.com [email protected] Al Lelopath wrote: > I am running OpeneSuSE 10.2 AMD Turion 64 bit > Kernel version is: > # uname -r > 2.6.16.13-4-smp > > Wireless card is: > # lspci > 06:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One > 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02) > > I downloaded driverloader-2.34_k2.6.16.13_4_smp-1suse.i586.rpm > # rpm -q driverloader > driverloader-2.34_k2.6.16.13_4_smp-1suse > > I downloaded the driver "Airforce One" Broadcom devices with PCI ID > 14E4:4318 from here: > http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/drivers.php > > but bad things are happening: > # modprobe driverloader > FATAL: Error inserting driverloader > (/lib/modules/2.6.16.13-4-smp/extra/driverloader.ko): Invalid module format > # iwconfig > lo no wireless extensions. > eth0 no wireless extensions. > sit0 no wireless extensions. > > # iwlist scan > lo Interface doesn't support scanning. > eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning. > sit0 Interface doesn't support scanning. > > > what do i need to do? > > > _______________________________________________ > driverloader mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.linuxant.com/mailman/listinfo/driverloader
