Hi, please make sure you are using the latest release of DriverLoader (2.45) since we did fix an important crash issue with 2.6.20 or later kernels, which is easy to trigger with Ubuntu 8.10 kernels. The latest version of DriverLoader can be downloaded at: http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/wlan/full/downloads.php If it still doesn't work with DriverLoader 2.45, while the wireless device is attached to the machine and the Windows driver is installed, please send to [email protected] the output of 'dumpdiag'. Type the following in a shell: --- sudo dldrconfig --dumpdiag --- If that command completely freezes your machine, please try this one instead: --- sudo dldrconfig --dumpdiag --noprobe --- Just send us the generated file located in /tmp ('driverloaderdiag.txt'). It'll help us solve the problem. Regards, Jonathan Technical specialist / Linuxant www.linuxant.com [email protected] John wrote: > The subject says it all!! Its a clean fresh install of ubuntu from a live CD. The computer is a Vulcan Flipstart with a P-M, 512MB ram and a Intel 955 chipset. Any suggestions? > _______________________________________________ > driverloader mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.linuxant.com/mailman/listinfo/driverloader
