You are correct. The story behind the problem is rather long, and I won't
go into it. Anyway, I have checked in updated versions of these two files,
per your suggestion.

Thank you.

Hi,

I found when I use "./makepatches.sh -k 2.4.19 -e 1.4.2" in directory
"evlog/patchtools", it cannot generate the correct patch. After I issued
"tar tfz linux-2.4.19.orig.tar.gz", I got the answer:
"./
./evlog/
./evlog/arch/
./evlog/arch/i386/
./evlog/arch/i386/config.in
./evlog/arch/ppc/
./evlog/arch/ppc/config.in
./evlog/arch/s390/
./evlog/arch/s390/config.in
./evlog/arch/s390x/
./evlog/arch/s390x/config.in
./evlog/Documentation/
./evlog/Documentation/Configure.help
./evlog/kernel/
./evlog/kernel/printk.c
./evlog/kernel/Makefile".

Note, all the files are in the directory "evlog", that will cause a "file
not found" in script makesubpatch line 27. Well, there is nothing wrong in
script "mkorig.sh" and "makesubpatch". So re-generate the file with
mkorig.sh is just OK. But I think file "linux-2.4.19.orig.tar.gz" and
"linux-2.4.18.orig.tar.gz" need to be updated.

Thanks,
