Hi Larry,

I started working on my own plugin using the
sample as a baseline.  But everytime the registered
function was called, the following message would
be dumped to console:

/sbin/evlogd: relocation error: /usr/lib/libevl.so.1:
undefined symbol: __umodsi3

Then i went back and compiled the sample plugin
as-is -- and it has the same error message when
an event is logged.

Any ideas?

(ps -- hein, the fix for the libc.so.6 not present
that you put in works great.  it auto-removes the
entry from ld.so.preload.  any chance that you could
enhance it to "search" for the libc.so.6 module
under a different name?  For example, with RH 2.1
advanced server, its installed as libc.so.6.1 but
with no symlink to libc.so.6.)
