Have you looked at strtst?  It methodically tests many mechanisms within 
LiS.  It is not an installation test, it is a regression test.  I started 
it out originally to methodically sweep through the package and verify that 
the code was working properly.

You might just extend strtst to increase the coverage.  If you want to be 
really thorough about it you could attempt to reach every line of code 
within LiS under test circumstances.  That would be a big job.
