That's a bad link (list switched from majordomo to mailman).  You can use:

 http://gsyc.escet.urjc.es/mailman/private/linux-streams/

and enter your email address and password and you should be redirected
to the archive.  (You need cookies enabled.)  This works for me...

Did you mean LiS 2.16.18?  Works fine on 2.4 but won't work with 2.6.
You need LiS 2.18.0 for 2.6.  On a recent kernel you will either have
to patch it yourself or use the OpenSS7 2.18.1 release.
