In /scratch/sreddy/linux-2.6.21-kernel, do:

for a in `cat /scratch/sreddy/linux-2.6.21-kernel/lttng-0.9.5/series | grep -v "^#"`; do patch -p1 < lttng-0.9.5/$a; done

Or install quilt.
