LTTng 0.34 doesn't exist. I guess you mean ltt-control 0.34.

What LTTng version are you using then ?

Make sure you match
http://ltt.polymtl.ca/svn/ltt/branches/poly/doc/developer/lttng-lttv-compatibility.html

Upgrading to slightly more recent versions could help.
