With the new series file and simplification of LTTng patches, there is
less and less conflicts. That should be quite straightforward.

For the marker patches, I suggest that you just grab them from
Andrew's 2.6.23-mm1 patchset (look into his series file for the markers
related patches). This is what I did for the pre7 port.
