ALIX specific kernel

Hi Folks

I am trying to build a specific kernel for the ALIX board, but I am
failing configuring the CS553x ATA driver into the kernel, e.g. the
driver can be enabled as a module but menuconfig does not allow it to be
compiled into the kernel.

Am I missing some prerequisite here?
