I started with the config for geode, which is running on ALIX. Now the
current config is aimed at loading CS5536 as a module, not compiled into
the kernel.

What is needed to compile the code into the kernel is the following

< -# CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST is not set
< +CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST=y
