Hi all; the recent discussions about ntpd failing on i686 SMP and patching it, required to test the proposed patch with uClibc-ng 1.0.24. The most visible change when building our packages with uClibc-ng 1.0.24 was the deletion of RPC support in uClibc-ng. A replacement is libtiprpc with a more recent version of RPC I've changed and tested all packages affected. It occured that despite all patches I can't get nfs-utils (more specific rpc- mountd) to work on x86_64. It still segfaults, which does not happen on i486... Another problem, though not important yet, is libaio failing on toolchains other than x86_64. I'll building all toolchains today right now to move toward a new alpha version. Any help to solve the above mentioned issues is welcome. kp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot
