That means exactly what it is telling you. Normally this points to a 
missing driver for the whatever medium you want to boot from. This is 
very early in the init process, the kernel already booted as it is 
fetched from media using bios interrupts. Also initrd is already 
unpacked else you would not see what you are telling us.

I have not looked at the beta2 release. I have the underlying init code 
running on a old WRAP and a geode and a X86-64 platform but running from 
a development release.

When you have the console prompt can you check the contents of the /dev 
directory? Are there any sda devices?
