I tried booting the beta2 USB on another completely different PC, and got the same results, booting failed. So this problem is not related to the details of the XYC Minipc hardware. I tried booting the ISO version of beta2 on the same PC, saw the same error messages about /dev/sda1 not being a block device, but booting continued and made it to the Leaf login prompt. So maybe that error message is a red herring. I made a fresh USB from beta2 syslinux version just in case I had done something wrong, but got the same results. I would like to know if anyone else has tried booting the syslinux version of beta2 from a usb and had success or failure. I do not have the same problem with the ISO version. (later) I see Erich just sent me another message, I will look at his suggestions.
