[leaf-wisp] Strange ssh failure

We are running wisp-dist on a soekris on a large latency connection
(satellite).  When we try to ssh out of the soekris to another machine
over the connection, ssh just hangs and never returns.  tcpdump on both
sides indicate no traffic, and moving the same box to a wired lan causes
everything to work fine.  

Are there any know timing issues within the kernel that may manifest
this?

We upgraded ssh to jnilo s current version.

Ideas would be appreciated...
