Is there some trick to get wisp-dist to recognise an Atheros based (802.11a) card? I've installed a card that worked fine with Pebble (debian with madwifi drivers) but it isn't recognised with a default install of leaf-wisp. Cartctl seems to recognise that there is a card: # cardctl ident Socket 0: product info: "Proxim, Corp.", "802.11a Wireless CardBus Adapter.", "CIS REV 1.2", "Copyright 2002" manfid: 0x0126, 0x0007 function: 6 (network) PCI id: 0x168c, 0x0007 I'm not sure what to do next? With pebble I had to modprobe ath_pci, but that gives an error. # modprobe ath_pci insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.20: No such file or directory insmod: ath_pci.o: no module by that name found What should I try next? Btw, this is WISP-Dist, release 2003-08-08(2624). (Is there a later one?). Apologies in advance for whatever stupid error I'm making! thx, michael ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
