I was originally using Fedora Core 1. I didn't realize the GLIBC version couldn't be greater than 2.2 to build. Since then I used RedHat 8.0 but it apparently still uses GLIBC that is non-standard as I got a version error looking for a "GLIBC_PRIVATE". I'm going back to RH 7.3 in hopes that I can build successfully on that platform. Any hints are appreciated.
