[leaf-wisp] easy serial question

Hello All -

I have a simple serial port question.  I have the wisp-dist distribution
running on a Soekris board.  By default the console is on the exposed serial
port.  I'd like to use that serial port for an external serial smartcard reader
and so need the console not to use it.  I've tried just removing the one line
from the /etc/inittab, but the MUSCLE tester app still won't find my towitoko
reader on that serial port.

What am I probably doing wrong?
