[leaf-wisp] Problem to compile WispDist with Slackware 10 (newbie)

I made the download of wispdist (kernel 2.4.25) through the TLA.  When I 
used #./build.sh - f appeared this error:

mkfs.msdos 2.10 (22 Sep 2003)
Total number of sectors not a multiple of sectors per track!
Add mtools_skip_check=1 to your .mtoolsrc file to skip this test
./build.sh: line 81: 25526 Broken Pipe           syslinux $IMG
syslinux failed

I am using slackware 10 with glibc 2.3.2 and GCC 3.3.4.  To compile I 
will have that to use glibc 2.2.x and GCC 3.2.x?
