Hi, yes it's the case! That's why I went for PEBBLE first (www.nycwireless.net/pebble/) and after I switched on VOYAGE (www.voyage.hk) both based on Debian. For pebble you need a patched kernel for the WRAP board, VOYAGE is already compiled out of the box for WRAP board 'keyb+wd11000). They are more flexible than wisp-dist I found.
