[leaf-wisp] Using ZyDAS zd1201

Hi, everybody.
My question is: has anybody tried wisp-dist with ZyDAS zd1201 based usb dongles?
I'd like to try them with wisp-dist since I was told about excelent results with 
 this driver (http://linux-lc100020.sourceforge.net) but it seems to work only 
with kernel version 2.6.
Is there any way to re-package wisp-dist with 2.6 kernel?
