As I told you, the instructions for pacman have not been updated... They install
pacman in /tools (in chroot, or /mnt/lfs/tools outside chroot), and this is not
what you want: this directory will be removed at the end of chapter 7!
Furthermore, the instructions for libcap are for an old version and have to be
changed.
You can look at the log in /mnt/lfs/jhalfs/logs/712-04-libcap<something> and see
what happened. But you are on your own for fixing it. And the other scripts in
/mnt/lfs/jhalfs/lfs-commands/chapter07/712-x-* need also to be fixed, so that
the packages are installed in (chroot)/usr. Note that if you can fix them,
chapter 8 should be ok (not tested, though).
I have no time to update the pacman files in jhalfs at the moment. Maybe Thomas
can help...
