Cannot say too much for NM.  Just one note about ntp.  If using ntpdate to
set the time initially at boot, make sure that either the network is really
really setup properly and the -t option to ntpdate is used. If not and the
network isn't functional, ntpdate can hang forever which is not that
usefull at boot time...
