Thanks.  Like hibernate, session-restore is an essential
productivity-feature of a contemporary desktop to me.  It's been there
and much appreciated since KDE-4, IIRC.  The "X Session Management
Protocol" that made it possible was published in 1992.  In other words:
it's something that users could rely on since ancient times.

So - imposing a regression of epic proportions on their users by making
wayland the default for a Plasma-6-session was borderline already, I
think.  But if this regression is still not fully fixed, going
wayland-only and thus bereaving users of an alternative (X11), would
seem reckless and irresponsible.
