Didn't see the info where you share where the segfault occurs and you have no information regarding that.

Get into debug mode and share some more info. Give more details of the steps. Mentioned you did this in chroot. Mentioned you install in a chroot /mnt but then later state it segfaults after chroot.
After chroot is this during a boot or what?

No, shouldn't need to rebuild everything after upgrading GLIBC. Versioned symbols should be fine.
