make-ca unable to get revision from server

LFS 12.3 SYSV, BLFS of same version. Does anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot ``` # /usr/sbin/make-ca -g Checking for new version of certdata.txt...done. Unable to get revision from server! Exiting. ``` Internet connection is working with DHCP. I'm able to ping 1.1.1.1 and duckduckgo.com. I'm able to download things with `wget --no-check-certificate` (without `--no-check-certificate` will fail as I've not generated the certificate store). And I'm able to ssh into my LFS machine over LAN. I don't know how to troubleshoot this as the error message is not very specific.
