Is Gtk 2.0 still possible in LFS?

Hi

Is it still possible to install gtk-2.0 in LFS today or have things progressed
too far.   Obviously it is no longer supported.

I ask because I need to install it and just get errors, some of which I
stopped with a patch.  I still get:

defaultvalue.c:108:16: error: assignment to ‘GObject *’ {aka ‘struct _GObject
*’} from incompatible pointer type ‘GdkWindow *’ {aka ‘struct _GdkDrawable *’}
[-Wincompatible-pointer-types]
  108 |       instance = g_object_ref (gdk_window_new (NULL, &attributes, 0));

four times when compiling gtk+-2.24.33.    This is the last of them.
