Neovim is not in the book but that doesn't mean that it is impossible to use. After doing LFS and build some of the BLFS packages, you'll surely be able to build it. Just download the source tarball, extract it, run a configure or whatever they use as build system (i think they use cmake), review options and give it a try. Packages not in the book may also have dependencies on other packages which are not in the book. The build system will tell you. The procedure to build them is just the same. The community might not be able to answer questions about a non-book- package. But why not becoming the one who can answer those questions if someone else tries to install it? Btw, the instructions shown in the PKGBUILD files of ArchLinux can give an idea how it may work. ArchLinux does not make a mystery around their build scripts like other distros and their instructions are shell scripts only. But keep in mind that they do a full featured distro, maybe the instructions are much more than what is required for your needs. -- Thomas -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/sympa/info/blfs-support Unsubscribe: See the above information page
